現在11種類存在する基本土地の1つ。もちろん皆勤賞である。特殊タイプの「基本」と基本土地タイプの「森」を持つ。
長らく、1ターン目に極楽鳥/Birds of Paradiseやラノワールのエルフ/Llanowar Elvesなどのマナ・クリーチャーを唱えるのが緑の基本戦術だった。これにより、基本土地の中では1ターン目にタップされることが最も多かったと言えたが、1マナのマナ・クリーチャーの退場によって一概には言えなくなってしまった。
