ザ・デック(The Deck)

1995〜1996年のType1のトーナメントで活躍したコントロールデッキで、Brian Weissmanが作成した。


Disrupting Scepter / 破裂の王笏 (３)
アーティファクト

(３),(Ｔ)：プレイヤー１人を対象とする。そのプレイヤーはカードを１枚捨てる。あなたのターンの間にのみ起動できる。

とにかく打ち消し呪文などで防御に徹するデッキ。 ジェイムデー秘本/Jayemdae Tomeや沢山の制限カードでアドバンテージを得たり破裂の王笏/Disrupting Scepter+精神錯乱/Mind Twistでロックしたりする。 その後、セラの天使/Serra Angelで殴ったり、Mana DrainからのBraingeyserでライブラリーアウトをさせたりする。

当時のことなのでパワー9はすべて入っている（ただし制限カードになっていたので1枚ずつ）。 また、デュアルランドのおかげでDemonic TutorやRegrowthなどの強力カードも入れることができる（実際、当時の制限カードが片っ端から入っている）。
